Dr Dennis Sinclair, Managing Director
 In
1993, after a distinguished career in business, research and academia,
Dennis founded Sinclair Associates, to provide a
service to Australian industry in data-based decision making.
The move was a successful one, and now Sinclair Associates is in
the forefront of business improvement consultancies in Australia.
Dennis specialises in Six Sigma planning, training and deployment.
He draws upon his extensive experience in consulting with industry
to work with a client's executive team to develop an appropriate
deployment plan for Six Sigma implementation. His teaching
skills and depth of statistical knowledge ensure that the Six Sigma
Champions, Black Belts and Green Belts receive the right training
to consistently achieve breakthrough improvements in performance.
Dennis has extensive experience in Six Sigma
deployments with a wide range of companies in Australia, China,
Singapore, South Korea and the USA. He is respected as one
of the foremost authorities on Six Sigma in Australia.
Dennis is the author of the acclaimed business novel, Beyond Gut
Feel: Lessons in Organizational Change (Consensus Books, 1998),
and is currently writing another book. He has published over 50
articles in refereed journals, and written more than 70 confidential
consulting reports.
Dennis was previously an Associate Professor of Statistics, and
Director of NewStat Statistical and Quality Consultants, at the
University of Newcastle. He has maintained his
links with academia through a Conjoint Professorship with the Faculty
of Economics and Commerce at the University of Newcastle and an
adjunct faculty position in the MBA program at the AGSM.
He has held visiting professorships in the USA, Canada and Japan.
Other former roles have included Principal of the Organisational
Effectiveness Group, and Senior Statistician with CSIRO.
Dennis holds Bachelor of Science (Hons 1) and Master of Statistics
degrees from the University of New South Wales, and Master of Science
and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from Florida State University.
He has been a Fulbright scholar.
